Drug raid in Avon, New York produces four arrestsAVON, New York — The Livingston County, New York Sheriff’s Department says it made a drug bust Tuesday morning that targeted a major cocaine supplier in the Rochester area.
Livingston County Sheriff John York said his department, with assistance from the Rochester and Buffalo offices of the FBI and the New York State Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hogmire Road in the town of Avon about 11:30 a.m. and seized several ounces of cocaine and some cash. Four people were arrested.
Police charged David C. Farley, 50, of 4415 Hogmire Road, with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Carl L. Stewart, 42, of 240 W. Main St., Avon, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance. Howard C. Jones, 28, of 196 Rand St., Rochester, and Ryan A. Farley, 18, of 4415 Hogmire Road, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
David Farley and Stewart were remanded to the Livingston County, New York Jail, Farley on $200,000 bail and Stewart on $50,000 bail. Ryan Farley and Jones were issued court appearance tickets.
York said that the arrests resulted from a six-month investigation and that more arrests and charges are likely.
New York authorities also will continue to search the grounds of the Hogmire Road residence, the sheriff said.
This is “what we believe was large-scale drug operation,” he said.
